Core use case

Free employee work schedule generator

Create a weekly staff schedule with employee rows and weekday columns in seconds. No sign up. Add names, pick the week, download Excel. Built for front-line managers and small teams.

Who it’s for and how it works

This tool is for anyone who needs a simple weekly roster: retail, hospitality, front desk, or office shifts. You enter a schedule title, the week start (Monday), and a list of employees—one per line. The generator outputs an Excel file with one row per employee and columns for each day. Default cells show “9–5” or “Off”; you can edit everything in Excel after download. A total-hours column with a formula is included so you can track hours per person.

Generate your schedule

5 employees will appear in the schedule.

Open the .xlsx in Excel to edit shifts, add notes, or change the week. No account required.

Common questions

How many employees can I add?

As many as you need. List one name per line (or comma-separated). The Excel file will have one row per employee.

Can I change the week after downloading?

Yes. The file is a normal .xlsx. Update the week label and dates in Excel if you need a different week.

Is there a formula for total hours?

Yes. The export includes a total column. You can adjust the formula in Excel to match your shift notation.
